Family Support Collaborative Data Analyst new!!

Under the direction of the Associate Director, the Family Support Collaborative (FSC) Data Analyst is responsible for gathering and maintaining information on CAPC Sacramento family support programs, tracking program outcomes, ensuring integrity of information in database systems, and performing qualitative/quantitative analysis.  Essential duties and responsibilities include:

 

Data Analysis and Reporting

Work with the FSC and its funders and evaluators to develop data collection and tracking instruments for collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting program requirements and program outcomes. Compile and analyze data to develop trend analysis and prepare quarterly reports.  Design, construct, maintain and ensure integrity of information databases, including the Sacramento County Birth & Beyond database.  Make presentations on program outcomes, data trends, and best practice program models, as needed.

 

Program Coordination

Coordinate meetings and collaborative events, including scheduling and staffing meetings, preparing agendas and meeting packets, recording minutes, and coordinating refreshments.  Maintain working contact lists, rosters, and listservs.  Work with project staff to support the projects of the FSC Executive Committee, Birth & Beyond Management Committee and various subcommittees.  Coordinate and oversee the dissemination of FSC materials, and reports. 

 

Other Duties

Attend meetings, conferences and trainings, as needed.  Assist with special projects including, but not limited to, grant proposals, reports, and press releases.  Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Bachelor’s degree.  MA/MS degree desired. Two years of experience in research, data analysis, and statistical work including the production of reports, graphs, charts, maps, and tables.  A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.  Experience working with databases.  Ability to develop graphical displays of data and translate research findings into practice implications.  Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.  Ability to organize and complete multiple projects that require short completion times.  Intermediate knowledge MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to prioritize workload and communicate priorities to diverse workgroups.  Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality.  Ability to maintain a professional work environment.  Knowledge of child and family social services is preferred.  Knowledge of Publisher is preferred.  Must possess a valid California Drivers License, a reliable automobile and auto insurance.  Must have a criminal background clearance from the Department of Justice.

 

 
Administrative Assistant (Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sacramento and Prevent Child Abuse California)
Under the direction of the CAPC and PCA CA Directors, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for day-to-day administrative operations, communication & correspondence, data entry and tracking, and meeting/event/travel coordination. Also responsible for coordinating the schedule and activities of the CAPC and PCA CA Directors. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Performs general administrative duties including, but not limited to, writing and typing correspondence, filing, and data entry and tracking (e.g., WBRS). Schedule and make arrangements for appointments/meetings as assigned by Directors. Insure that copies of minutes, agendas, announcements, rosters and resource materials are available for staff and partners. Create and maintain calendar for Directors. Handle travel arrangements for agency travel. Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls/voice mail messages for the Directors to appropriate staff or external agency. Provide information to the general public, respond to telephone inquiries and e-mails, and provide referrals to the appropriate agency.   Interact closely with various departments, such as Fiscal Management and Facilities to ensure the appropriate office procedures are completed. Ensure that all fiscal policies and procedures are followed. Maintains confidentiality in matters of agency operations, staff, and clients and appropriate standards of professional behavior. Attend meetings providing support with such duties as creating and distributing agendas and minutes, arranging for refreshments, follow-up on assigned tasks, and sending meeting reminders. Provide administrative support to CAPC and PCA CA teams. Compiles and prepares informational packets for agency activities (e.g. site visits, regional meetings, events). Plan and execute administrative and logistical arrangements for special events including fundraisers and conferences. Provide front desk support as assigned. Perform other job duties as assigned.
 
Must have a High School diploma. BA degree preferred. Must have three years of experience providing administrative support to a director/manager. Must have event coordination experience. Ability to be take initiative and be assertive in order to accomplish job duties. Ability to work with diverse workgroups. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Skill to maintain a professional, confidential work environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through on tasks. Ability to be flexible, creative and work effectively during periods of increased work loads. Experience in social services preferred. Knowledge of AmeriCorps policies and procedures is preferred. Knowledge of family violence and/or child abuse and neglect is preferred. Must possess a valid California Drivers License, a reliable automobile and auto insurance. Must have a criminal background clearance from the Department of Justice.
